For direct support professionals
For people preparing to enter the role and those already in it.
- A private place to practice
- Feedback on the choices they make
- Repeat practice as often as needed

Working prototype · Preparing for pilots
Medication administration takes more than knowing the right answer — it takes knowing what to do next. Waiver360 Academy gives aspiring direct support professionals a place to learn, practice, make decisions, receive feedback, and work through realistic medication scenarios before those decisions matter in real life.
In development. Not yet commercially available.

The challenge
Direct support professionals may handle medications every shift. The work is procedural: reading an order, recording each dose, and knowing what to do when something doesn’t go as planned.
Instruction teaches the information. Waiver360 Academy adds a place to practice the procedure itself.
Medication orders
What, how much, which route, and when.
Medication records
Documenting each dose at the right time.
Refusals
Responding when a person declines a dose.
Schedule changes
Keeping up when an order changes.
Discontinued medications
Noticing when to stop giving one.
Count discrepancies
Recognizing when a count doesn’t add up.
How it works
Structured instruction built around real medication-administration procedures.
Interactive route simulations and realistic scenarios, one step at a time.
Feedback on their choices helps learners spot errors. Repeat any activity as often as needed.
Working prototype
The core of Waiver360 Academy is built and working today. We’re now preparing it for real-world pilot testing with direct support professionals, trainers, and provider organizations.
Inside the prototype
Four simulated days at a medication cart and record. Orders change, a dose is refused, a new order arrives, an as-needed dose is requested — and the learner documents each one.
Medication-record, sequencing, sorting and decision exercises, in a standard web browser.

Screens from the working prototype. All scenarios use fictional clients.
Who it’s for
For people preparing to enter the role and those already in it.
Behind every medication record is a person depending on someone to get the details right. Waiver360 Academy exists because the people supporting individuals with I/DD deserve meaningful opportunities to practice before facing those responsibilities in everyday care.
What’s next
We’ve built the foundation. Now we’re looking for direct support professionals, trainers, provider organizations, researchers, and workforce-development partners who want to help us test, challenge, and strengthen Waiver360 Academy.
Pilot Partners
Put the experience in front of real users.
Training & I/DD Experts
Strengthen its relevance to the workforce.
Research Partners
Help independently evaluate usability and the approach.
Let’s build the next stage together.
